Dato’ Jeffrey Ng is Patron, past President of REHDA (2002 — 2006) and past Chairman of REHDA Wilayah Persekutuan (KL Branch). Currently, the Chairman of REHDA Institute, Dato’ Jeffrey sits on various other Boards:

Prior to joining Sunway Group, Dato’ Jeffrey Ng was the former Managing Director of AP Land Berhad. He was also the former Executive Director

of Sunway City Berhad (now known as Sunway City Sdn Bhd), a company formerly listed on Bursa Malaysia. He has held various positions in the past, such as Director of Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Vice President and Secretary-General of FIABCI Malaysian Chapter (International Real Estate Federation), Vice President of Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (MAHO), Chapter Chairman of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Malaysian Chapter, Vice Chairman of Malaysian Australia Business Council (MABC) and Chairman of MRMA.

Dato’ Jeffrey Ng is a graduate of Monash University, Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Economics and completed his professional article ship in an international accounting firm in Australia before returning to Malaysia. He has more than 37 years of extensive experience in finance, corporate planning and executive management in the property and hotel industry in both Malaysia and Australia.

In 2003, he was accorded the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by MABC. In 2008, he was advanced to fellowship member of Chartered Accountants, Australia & New Zealand. Dato’ Jeffrey Ng was awarded “REHDA Personality of the Year 2015” for his contribution to the real estate industry. In 2018, he was awarded The Asset Best CEO — Property.

Tan Sri Datuk Eddy Chen aged 68, holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Marketing) from Monash University, Australia. Serving as the Group Managing Director of MKH Berhad (“MKH”) and a member of the Group’s Board of Directors, he has full responsibility for executing the strategic direction and ongoing operations for the Group. Under his careful stewardship and wise leadership, MKH has evolved from a small-town property developer in Kajang into one of the Top 12th property players in Malaysia; forged with a strong business foundation through successful diversification.

With 38 years’ of experience in property development and construction-related businesses, he has long played a leading role in advocating the growth and advancement of the industry, and is well-recognised as one of the influential key opinion leaders to date. Prominently involved in the redevelopment of Kajang, he had also effectively steered the housing industry through the Asian Financial Crisis by the implementation of home ownership campaigns during his tenure as President of REHDA (1998-2002).

In addition to his business leadership, Tan Sri Datuk Eddy Chen presently serves as the Patron of Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) of Malaysia, and also the currently Trustee of REHDA Institute, as well as the Board of Advisors for Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (2018-2022).

He is also an active committee member in various government as well as private sector organizations that formulate policies governing the housing and real estate industry; holding current positions as the Advisory Council Member of Construction Labour Exchange Centre Berhad, committee member of CIDB’s Pemandu Pembangunan Pelan Induk Industri Pembinaan II for the term 2016 – 2020, and member of PEMUDAH Special Task Force on Kuala Lumpur City Hall. An advocate of healthy living, he is also the President of the Race Walkers’ Association of Malaysia and serves as the Captain of Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) for the term 2020-2022.

Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Kok is patron, past President of REHDA (1990 – 1994) and past Chairman of REHDA Selangor/Kuala Lumpur Branch (1984-1986). Currently Trustee of REHDA Institute, Tan Sri Dato’ Teo have also contributed significantly in various capacities on other Boards and Associations and continues to do so:

Datuk Haji Muztaza Bin Haji Mohamad PMW, SSA has previously served as National Treasurer of REHDA Malaysia (for the term 2016-2018), Vice President and Secretary-General of REHDA Malaysia and past Chairman of REHDA Selangor.

Currently Trustee of REHDA Institute, Datuk Haji Muztaza also sits in various other capacities on other Boards:

• Director, Green RE Sdn Bhd.
• Member of various professional bodies including CGMA, CA (M) and FCMA, UK. Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) where he served in both National Council and EXCO of MIA. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Datuk Haji Muztaza is the founder and Managing Director of the Fair view Group of Companies since 1984.

He is the past President of CIMA, Malaysia Division and was involved with the Member’s Services Committee at CIMA, UK.

For his outstanding services and contribution to the advancement of the Institute over the years, Datuk Haji Muztaza was conferred with the CIMA (UK) Institute Award Silver Medal.

With a long standing background in the property development industry since 1970s, Datuk Haji Muztaza has more than 35 years of experience building, leading and advising Government, private corporations, associations and co-operatives.

Datuk Haji Muztaza has also served in various capacities in FIABCI (Malaysia), Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia, Selangor (DPMMS) and Lembaga Perumahan Hartanah Selangor.

Datuk Seri (Dr) Michael KC Yam is the Past President and Patron of REHDA Malaysia having served as its President from 2008 to 2012. On 29th June 2022 he was elected the President of the Chartered Institute of Building becoming the first Malaysian and second Asian ever to hold the post in the 188 year history of the global Chartered Institute.

Datuk Seri Yam has more than 35 years of experience in the construction, real estate and corporate sectors not only in Malaysia but also in the UK, Australia and South Africa where he spearheaded investments into those countries when he held top management positions in companies such as Landmarks, Peremba, Country Heights and also Sunrise.

He took early retirement in 2008 as the MD/CEO of Sunrise Berhad and subsequently at various times and for different periods, joined the boards of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, Sunway Berhad, Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad, Construction Industry Development Board, Construction Labour Exchange Centre Bhd and Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd as an independent non-executive directors. He had also until June 2022 held the senior independent director position of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad and Paramount Corporation Berhad retiring after serving the maximum tenure 9 years and 12 years respectively in these companies. In 2008 he was appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of the City of Kuala Lumpur where he served 3 terms until 2014.

Datuk Seri Michael Yam is currently the Chairman of InvestKL Corporation, Triterra Sdn Bhd, Metropolitan Lake Development Sdn Bhd and Mercure KL Glenmarie Hotel. He was appointed the Chancellor of University of Wollongong Malaysia KDU on 15th August 2021 and also serves as an Adjunct Professor of UTM since March 2021. He is a guest lecturer for the Master’s Degree course in Real Estate Development at UTAR and coinciding with Heriot-Watt University’s 200th anniversary in 2021, he was conferred the Honorary Doctorate of the University. In 8th March 2022, the Government through MITI has appointed him as the Nexus Champion for the Construction and Built Environment Productivity Nexus to raise the level of productivity and efficiency in this sector of the Nation’s economy.

He enjoys travelling, golf and reading and often speaks at seminars and conferences.
